Volunteering


The Citizens Advice Bureau values its volunteers highly. A large percentage of CAS workers are volunteers, as advisers, administrative workers, IT specialists or management committee members. We are committed to equal opportunities for our workers and clients, and welcome volunteers regardless of race, gender, sexuality or disabilities.
All our volunteer advisers are trained to enable them to perform their duties. You do not need to have any particular qualification or experience, but the following abilities to be:

  • a good listener, open minded & able to work with clients to achieve results.
  • able to read complex information and explain it
  • able to cope with basic mathematics
  • able to work as a team member
  • able to commit yourself to a certain number of hours each week
  • prepared to Support Equal Opportunities.
